Q. Some people think that they can make as much noise as they want, while others think that the amount of noise people make should be strictly controlled. Discuss both views and include your own opinion and examples.

Noise control has been a hotly debated topic over the past several decades. While some people believe that the amount of noise should be limited, I would argue that people should be allowed to make as much noise as they want.

On the one hand, governments, for some reason, must strictly control the amount of noise. First, this unwanted sound has been proven to be harmful to public health for a number of reasons. For example, noise pollution is associated with negative health conditions such as cardiovascular disease or hypertension. Second, it can impair the ability to concentrate on work and school, leading to poorer academic performance and results. In fact, a university student will not be able to study for an exam if the neighbor next door is singing loudly, so he or she should go to libraries that promote calm and concentration.

On the other hand, there are several reasons why I think noise should not be controlled. Noise production is sometimes considered a type of recreational activity. For example, singing and dancing at festivals are usually encouraged because they are relaxing and enjoyable. Moreover, the invention of many advancements in today's world is making people free from noise problems. In fact, there are windows and walls that can block noise, and noise-resistant headphones allow us to concentrate on our work without being disturbed, making silence unnecessary.

In conclusion, both views seem reasonable to some extent. However, I believe that noise will not be a problem since we have advanced tools to mitigate its effects, and it should not be limited.
