Q. Some people think that in the modern world, getting old is entirely bad. However, others believe that life of the old people is much better than it was in the past. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

A group of people think that growing old in the modern era is not a good idea, while others think the opposite. While both beliefs have their own valid reasons, in my opinion older people are benefiting more from technology than in the past.

On the one hand, older adults may find it more difficult to keep up with changes in this ever-changing world. For example, every year a new mobile phone is released with new features and applications that make life a little easier. These new features are sometimes difficult for older adults to understand because they do not understand how they function, thereby adding more stress to their lives rather than making it easier. But before it was not so difficult to understand this, since fewer inventions were created.

On the other hand, technology has enabled older people to live more fulfilling lives. For example, when adults reached a certain age, they were confined to their homes due to illnesses that compromised their health. But in the modern world, more ways to treat diseases have appeared, which is why the average life expectancy has increased to 85 years. For example, drugs have been found for certain types of cancer, allowing one to survive this terrible disease, which was impossible 100 years ago.

In conclusion, while living for older adults in the new era certainly has its downsides, improving their overall health is far more important than not understanding how technology works. For this reason, I believe that older people are better off living in a modernized world than in the past.
