Q. In today’s world, private companies rather than the government pay for and conduct most scientific research. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

In recent years, private companies seem to be more responsible for scientific research than the government. To explore this contradiction in detail, I will take a closer look at this essay. In my opinion, there are more advantages than disadvantages.

To begin with, there are two main reasons that lead citizens to believe that the government is responsible for experimental research. Above all, people believe that the taxes they pay support practical activities, including research, invention, and education. Perhaps they want their countries to have amazing achievements that they can be proud of. In addition, research management is considered more precise if it is carried out by the government. In reality, there is such an unethical experiment using animals and even people without the participation of the administration as breeding two completely different species. Thus, the negative impact on the social aspect is a possible consequence of the government's less important role in contributing to research.

On the other hand, private enterprises are justified in conducting scientific research due to certain opinions. First, they have enough money to conduct experiments. Although the government has funds to spend on several areas, these companies can invest in a specific area. For example, Pearl group annually raises funds to support scientific research, as well as to improve the healthcare system. In addition, the training budget is fully replenished by donations from both local and foreign companies, which means attracting foreign investment. Moreover, conducting research also helps private corporations promote their reputation among citizens. As a result of this view, healthy competition between agencies can lead to economic development. In other words, the benefits of allowing private companies to invest in experimental research are significant and outweigh the disadvantages.

In conclusion, it seems that the community earns more benefits when private enterprises pay more for academic research. Meanwhile, the government plays a pivotal role in management.
