Historical objects should be brought back to their country of origin. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Some people believe that historical artifacts that were captured during wars or colonization should be returned to their country of origin, while others argue that they should remain where they are now. I agree with the former view, and in this essay we will briefly discuss the reasons.
Secondly, these items can be used as a means to build and improve relations between the two countries. In addition, it helps to establish peace and harmony between them. For instance, when relations between France and Egypt were not at their best, the French Prime Minister decided to return the mummies captured during the First World War to Egypt in order to normalize their relations. Due to this gesture of goodwill, bilateral negotiations between these two sovereign states resumed after a decade.
In conclusion, the return of historical artifacts not only strengthens relations between states but also brings happiness to society, since many feelings and cultural values are associated with it.
