Q.
Nowadays, it is more convenient and easier for people to travel to other countries. Is this a positive or negative development?
In recent times, it has become easier for people to travel across the border than ever before. Traveling helps us acquire knowledge and discover new things and ideas. While convenient means of transportation bring people closer together, they also have some disadvantages.
On the other hand, the growth in travel also has a downside. The main problem is that travel, especially flying, is bad for the environment. Travelers can also bring new diseases to a place. For instance, travelers often visit places where tribes live. These people are not familiar with the viruses and bacteria that infect people in cities and towns. During their visit, they can bring these pathogens to them, and they can be fatal to them. Another problem is conflicts between travelers and locals.
To conclude, the ease of traveling has definitely enabled more and more people to visit and explore different places. However, the increase in travel also has an impact on the environment and may promote the spread of infectious diseases. Hence, in my opinion, there are both positive and negative aspects of traveling in equal measure.
