Q.  The table below shows the expenses per week of a retired single person and a couple in Australia, for their comfortable lifestyle.

The given table chart compares the weekly expenditure spent by retired singles and couples in some expense categories in Australia.

 

The total weekly expenses needed by a single retiree is $650, while a retired couple spends $934 a week on a comfortable lifestyle. Of these, the maximum goes to housing and other miscellaneous expenses of both categories of pensioners, $160 and $284 are spent on housing by single retirees and couples, respectively, while $177 and $223 are spent weekly on other things.

A single retiree spends $64, $92, $67, $55, and $35 on health, shelter, clothing, food, and shopping, respectively, while a married couple spends modestly more on these items ($77, $110, $120, $70, and $50).

 

Overall, the least expenditure is incurred on shopping and food by the retired people and the maximum on housing and other things.
