Q. The diagram below shows how orange juice is produced.
The diagram depicts the process for the production of fresh and concentrated orange juice for sale in supermarkets.
The oranges are first harvested, loaded onto trucks and transported to a processing plant, where they are thoroughly machine washed. After that, the juice is extracted from the oranges using a squeezer, and solid waste, including orange peels and seeds, is collected and used to feed animals. The squeezed juice can then either be packaged and sent to the supermarket, or transferred to another factory to go through the evaporation process.
During the evaporation process, fresh orange juice is treated with an evaporator where water is removed. The concentrated juice is then canned and transported to a warehouse, and then mixed with water again. After that, it is packaged and distributed to supermarkets, ready for purchase.
Overall, there are various stages in the process of making orange juice, from picking fresh oranges to distributing packaged juice to supermarkets.
