Q. Some people think that in this today's world, getting old is entirely bad. However, other people believe that the lives of older people are much better now than they were in the past. Discuss both points of view and express your own opinion?
A fair amount of people believe that in this contemporary world, older people suffer a lot, while others counter this argument by claiming that as compared to the past, recent times have brought so much relief to the lives of older people. Both points of view will be discussed in detail in this essay and will conclude by supporting the first argument.
On the contrary, a certain number of people claim that the present age has paved the way for improving the lives of the old. One of the nice things about this is the way it treats health problems. With the help of modern computerized instruments, many age-related diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and arthritis can be effectively controlled, ultimately alleviating pain and making life better. This would not have been possible to achieve in the past where older people had no choice but to lead a painful life. However, in my point of view, this advantage is limited to a small group of older people and is not worthy of countering the previous approach.
To conclude, although it is claimed that advanced health management for old people has bettered their life, I genuinely believe that it is not the case. Senior citizens try very hard to maintain and manage their lives with rapid changes that significantly affect them.
